My why
I am a former corporate escapee, wanderer of the world, and a lover of the insight and change travel delivers.
In 2000, a I hit rock bottom in NYC - failed relationship and a high pressure job meant I had hit my limit - then came a life changing convergence of moments.
On a midnight walk from West 52nd Street I stumbled into Barnes and Noble - looking either for solace or distraction - anything to offer an escape from pain.
A random discovery of Pema Chodron’s “When Things Fall Apart” challenged me and my views of life...and introduced me to the notion of non-attachment as an antidote to suffering.
Fast forward to 2014 when I finally found the courage to leave my life as it was, move from NZ to Hong Kong and embark on a Masters in Buddhist Studies. I knew within me that Buddhist thought was the adjunct missing from my earlier therapeutic training; and from my life.
Almost 20 years onward I continue my commitment to enable others to discover the freedom of thought and being made accessible through a unique lens that integrates buddhist thought with western therapy for growth and change.
